Cinematographer | Director of Photography

As a cinematographer – or director of photography – I focus on creating images that serve the story. Light, composition, and movement are not just technical choices; they shape the atmosphere, emotion, and rhythm of a film. My approach is always to translate the director’s vision into a visual language that feels authentic and compelling.

Working as both cinematographer and editor gives me a unique perspective on storytelling. I know how shots will connect in the edit, which allows me to anticipate structure and rhythm already on set. For directors, this means a smoother process and a consistent creative line from shoot to final film.

I’ve worked on a wide range of productions, from commercial assignments to documentaries and feature films. One of the highlights is VALK – de kracht van water, a feature film where I contributed as director of photography. On this page you’ll find a selection of stills and footage from that project, giving a glimpse of my style and visual approach.

Every production is different, but my focus remains the same: creating strong, meaningful images that elevate the story and connect with the audience.
